🔒 About Vault Woodworks

Q: Do you sell ready-made items?
We do offer limited batches of ready-to-ship pieces. Follow us on Instagram or sign up for our newsletter to see what’s available.

🪵 Custom Work & Commissions

Q: Do you take custom orders?
Absolutely! Custom commissions are a big part of what we do. Whether you have a clear vision or just a rough idea, we’ll work with you to design a piece that fits your space and style.

Q: How do I start a custom project?
Just fill out our Contact Form with a few details. What you’re looking for, the size, wood preference (if any), and any inspiration photos you have. We’ll follow up to talk through your vision and give you a quote. If you agree to the quote, we do require a 50% payment upfront to start your project.

Q: Can you replicate a design I found online or in a magazine?
We can use reference photos as inspiration, but every piece we build is one-of-a-kind. We’ll make sure it’s uniquely yours while staying true to the style you love.

🪚 Materials & Craftsmanship

Q: What types of wood do you use?
We primarily work with hardwoods like walnut, oak, cherry, and maple. If you have a specific species in mind, let us know and we’ll do our best to source it.

Q: Where do you source your wood?
We use responsibly sourced lumber from trusted suppliers from the Kansas City area and the midwest region. We value quality, sustainability, and beautiful grain patterns.

Q: Is your furniture built to last?
Yes, our pieces are crafted using traditional joinery and time-tested methods. They're made to be lived with, loved, and passed down.

Q: What is your philosophy regarding materials?
We believe exceptional furniture begins with exceptional materials. That's why every Vault Woodworks piece starts with carefully selected solid hardwoods, and finishes chosen to preserve, not hide, the natural beauty of the wood. These materials aren't selected simply because they're beautiful today; they're chosen because they'll become even more beautiful after years of everyday living.

🛠️ Lead Time & Delivery

Q: How long does a custom piece take to make?
Most custom projects take 6–8 weeks from design approval to completion, depending on size, complexity, and our shop schedule.

Q: Do you deliver or ship?
Yes, we offer local delivery and can arrange shipping within the U.S. Delivery fees vary by location. We’ll walk you through the options before you commit.

Q: Do you install built-in pieces?
We do offer built-in services locally. For larger or more complex installations, we’ll discuss logistics during the design phase.

💬 Design & Process

Q: Can I be involved in the design process?
Of course! We’ll collaborate with you on materials, dimensions, finishes, and style. We’ll keep you posted on progress and you'll have a say every step of the way.
